Out of the box, I didn't see a single thing wrong with it (and I'm picky too)... until I close it and put it on the dock.</p> <p>Upon opening it again, I was greeted by two faint lines on the upper LCD. These were clearly left behind by the lower LCD screen bezel. I kept using the 3DS hoping it would go away, but after only 3 times of opening and closing the 3DS, a small particle must have gotten lodged in between the touch panel bezel and the upper LCD - and it left a tiny mark on the screen.</p> <p>After thinking about it for a bit, I decided there was more risk in me returning the 3DS to Nintendo for repairs, since they usually just exchange them for a refurbished unit. The chances of getting a 3DS with other issues seemed likely. So I decided to see what I could do on my own.</p> <p>I began working the bumpers on the upper LCD and seeing if they could move. To my surprise, they did. I'd put a picture, but as you can tell, it wouldn't work because of whole 3D thing, so you can only see it on the 3DS screen so it focuses for you. I'm glad you got it to work because I found it pretty intersting since most people can't see the image with thier own eyes and the system can focus it for them, and it could make for an interesting trick when there's people around. I haven't seen anyone post anything about this yet but I tried it and it works. Remember those magic pictures that look like a strange pattern and if you stare at them and cross your eyes in such a way you'll see a 3D image in the picture? Using the 3DS camera, and taking a picture of those illusions, it will actually show the 3D image without any of the work done by you. Just look up a "Magic Eye" or "Stereogram" illusion on the internet if you don't have a book with the pictures in them, and take a picture of the image you want to see.</p> <p>How To Get It To Work:</p> <p>1. Find the stereogram Magic Eye image you want to see.<br /> 2. Take a CLOSE picture of the 3D object in picture. Taking a picture of the entire image won't work. You may not be able to see the entire image, but you can see main pieces. Make sure you know where the 3D image is located on picture. (You'll be able to see it anyway onscreen in the stereogram if you can't see them on your own)<br /> 3.
